Our story

It started at the end of a dock

A glass printed “On est ben icitte” (Québec French for “life's good right here”) at the end of the dock at sunset

You know the scene: the sun dropping over the lake, the crew in Adirondack chairs, somebody knocking their glass off the dock. Crack.

That's where Au Bout Du Quai — French for “at the end of the dock” — was born. Plastic glasses that bounce off the dock, sure — but with your photo on them: the family cottage, the RV that took you everywhere, the dog who thinks he runs the campground.

We print every glass right here in Mauricie, Québec, with a UV printer and a whole lot of patience. No factory, no customs: a small Québec workshop that does things right.

Behind Au Bout Du Quai is Jonathan Després and his workshop in Shawinigan (Ateliers Després). A question, a slightly crazy idea? Call 819-556-5656 or write to bonjour@auboutduquai.ca.

Cheers, and welcome to the end of the dock.
